Ranchi, September 18 (HS). BJP's state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev posted on social media platform X on Wednesday and said that One Nation-One Election was also on BJP's agenda. Now the central government has approved its proposal.
Pratul said that One Nation One Election will save a lot of time and resources and development work will also be accelerated. The committee formed under the leadership of former President Ramnath Kovind had submitted its report of thousands of pages to the central government in March itself. The committee had held extensive discussions with the concerned people across the country on this issue. It is true that elections are held in some state or region in the country all the time. Development work is hampered due to the imposition of Model Code of Conduct.
Shahdeo said that One Nation-One Election will solve this problem. One Nation-One Election will prove to be a very important step in the election reform process. It is possible that the Kovind Committee report will be presented and discussed in the House in the coming session. This is the Modi government, which definitely does what it says.
