A successful rescue operation was carried out to safely evacuate 20 people affected by the flood in Deori Kala village of Hussainabad in the district from the mound of Son river. As per the instructions of the district administration, this operation was carried out under the supervision of Hussainabad's Zonal Officer Pankaj Kumar and Deori OP in-charge Bablu Kumar.
ASI Akhilesh Yadav of Deori OP along with the police force brought back all the stranded people safely with the help of a diesel motor boat. Poonam Devi and Vinod Chaudhary of Deori Kala village were also among those rescued. Poonam Devi expressed her gratitude to the administration and media persons after this successful operation. Poonam Devi, who was on the boat, looked very happy and appreciated this moment of relief.
On the other hand, due to the excess water released from UP's Rihand Dam, the water level in the Son River has started rising again. Looking at the situation, Hussainabad police has taken precautionary measures. In villages situated on the banks of the Son River like Dangwar and Deori Kala, people are being appealed to maintain distance from the river through mikes, so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
