Katihar, 18 September (HS). In the second phase of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana, 1610 applicants in Katihar district have received approval from the district level. This information was given by District Officer Manish Kumar Meena in a review meeting held in the NIC auditorium.
The District Magistrate said that the aim of this scheme is to make the artisans and craftsmen self-reliant. He said that we will have to work together with all the concerned agencies to make this scheme successful.
General Manager of District Industries Center, Municipal Commissioner, District Panchayat Raj Officer, Labor Superintendent, Lead District Manager and public representative Saurabh Malakar were present in the meeting.
The domain member informed that the selected beneficiaries are receiving identity cards through post and in some institutions, training is being provided by forming batches of 40-40 beneficiaries. But there is a delay in the loan process, on which the DM directed the District Industry Center to coordinate with the department and make amendments to improve the portal.
The District Industry Center has been directed to make improvements on the portal so that the beneficiaries can have ease in the loan process. Apart from this, instructions were given to run a campaign to spread awareness about the scheme among the general public.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana will help the artisans and craftsmen of Katihar district to become self-reliant and improve their economic condition. This scheme will also play an important role in the development of the region. The District Magistrate has directed all the concerned agencies to work to their full potential to make this scheme a success.
