East Champaran, September 18 (HS). A housing distribution camp was organized under the PM Housing Scheme on the occasion of PM's birthday in the Sangrampur block campus of the district. On the occasion, Kesaria MLA Shalini Mishra gave approval letters for housing construction to the housing beneficiaries. Also, the keys of the houses were handed over to those who have already constructed the houses.
Giving the above information on Wednesday, BDO Anurag Aditya said that approval letters have been given to 12 beneficiaries. While keys of the houses were handed over to 13 beneficiaries. MLA Shri Mishra told the people present on the spot that after getting the approval letter, housing construction should certainly happen. Because many times people take the money for the house and are careless about the construction. In this situation, the department faces problems. The amount that the government is giving to the poor people for housing construction should be spent on the ground. Along with this, housing assistants were instructed to give the money to the people thoughtfully, without imposing any household work. Just as the department has instructions for housing construction, in the same way, money should be given step by step and construction should be done.
SDM Arun Kumar, who was present on the spot, while giving instructions to the beneficiaries said that the department is sending the amount to the account of every beneficiary. That amount should not be misused under any circumstances. The house has to be constructed within 100 days at any cost. BDO Shri Aditya said that there are a total of 439 housing construction targets for the financial year 2024–25. Out of these, 146 beneficiaries have received approval for housing construction.
