Bhopal, 17 September (HS). Governor Mangubhai Patel said that cleanliness starts from our home. The first school of cleanliness is our home. Therefore, we have to start giving the sanskar of cleanliness to children from our home itself. We all should learn from Mahatma Gandhi and include cleanliness in our daily routine. Governor Patel said this while addressing the “Swachhata Hi Seva” fortnight program organized in Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium on Tuesday.
In the program organized in Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium under the chief hospitality of Governor Patel and under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada 2024 and Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras were launched in 50 district hospitals of the state. On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister inaugurated the exhibition focused on the awards received by Madhya Pradesh in the field of cleanliness by cutting the ribbon. At the beginning of the program, the tune of the national anthem Jana-Gana-Man was presented by the police band.
Governor Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released Madhya Pradesh's film centered on the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. A short film of the Central Government on the outline of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was screened in the program. A short film based on the “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras” being started in district hospitals was also screened. Governor Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav were presented play cards by the Indian Red Cross Society. The Governor and the Chief Minister honored the Safai Mitras and distributed incentives and cleanliness kits. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and State President and MP V.D. Sharma were present in the program.
Governor Patel congratulated Indore city for being the leader in cleanliness for 7 consecutive years. He praised the tireless and continuous hard work of Indore's sanitation workers for this achievement. The Governor congratulated the people of Indore for adopting the habit of cleanliness and enthusiastic participation in cleanliness activities.
Jan Aushadhi Kendra is a special initiative of the Prime Minister for the poor
Governor Patel said that Jan Aushadhi Kendra is a special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the poor. He congratulated the people of the state on the inauguration of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras in all 50 district hospitals of the state on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi's birthday. Governor Patel said that due to minimum price and quality medicines, Aushadhi Kendras are in the economic interest of the poor. Governor Patel appealed to everyone to tell the poor and needy around them as much as possible about the generic, affordable medicines and financial savings available at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. He also asked the doctors to definitely inform the patients about the facilities and benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras while treating them.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that providing facilities to make the life of the common man easier is the biggest and memorable gift given to Prime Minister Modi. On the birthday of Prime Minister Modi, the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras being started in all the 50 hospitals of the state and the Grihapravesh of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna will improve the standard of living of the common man of the state. The state government is also committed to the welfare of Safai Mitras. This work being done for the common man is the birthday gift of Prime Minister Modi.
“Cleanliness by nature – cleanliness by culture” Cleanliness is the basis of service campaign
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today 17th September is a special day. Apart from being Vishwakarma Jayanti, today is also the birthday of Prime Minister Modi. From his birthday itself, the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan is being started, centered on the idea of ”Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata”. Sheetla Mata, mentioned in Indian scriptures, is the goddess of cleanliness. In the Indian knowledge tradition, there has been a tradition of imparting the sanskar of better behavior through religion. The Indian treatment system has provided the formula for the treatment of smallpox and other complex diseases.

Governor Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also felicitated Safai Mitras. Bhopal Municipal Corporation's Safai Mitras Akash Valmiki, Jeevan Lal, Dharam Singh, Rajesh Damle and Rashmi and rural area's Deep Mala, Preeti and Nikhlesh, Amit Kumar and Dharmendra Valmiki were felicitated. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also addressed the program. Principal Secretary Neeraj Mandloi presented the outline of the ceremony.
