Haridwar, September 17 (HS). In the presence of 18 freedom fighters who came as state guests, the National Conference of Freedom Fighter Successor Families concluded, creating a new history. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Textiles, Government of India, Pabitra Margherita started the second session of the program by lighting the lamp. She said that today I am overwhelmed to see the Maha Kumbh of freedom fighter families in Kumbh city Haridwar. This is a fortunate moment for me. It is because of these valiant great men that we are breathing freely in free India today. No amount of salutation and respect is enough for them.
He said that the issues raised by the National General Secretary of the Freedom Fighters' Successor Family Committee, Jitendra Raghuvanshi, from this platform, I will definitely convey them to the Central Government and they will be implemented as soon as possible. Local MLA Adesh Chauhan praised the efforts of the Freedom Fighters' Successor Family Committee to organize the freedom fighters' families across the country and said that we are with you every moment.
In the same session, National General Secretary Jitendra Raghuvanshi proposed before the Union Minister to build a memorial for freedom fighters in Delhi, Eminent Committee to nominate organisations of freedom fighters' families, nominate successors of freedom fighter families in Rajya Sabha, various committees of Central Government, Legislative Councils and Municipal bodies, constitute Freedom Fighter Successor Family Welfare Council, construct Freedom Fighter Successor Service House in Delhi, publish district-wise biographies of freedom fighters and include them in the curriculum of primary schools, and Central Government to give identity cards to freedom fighter families by giving them special recognition. Before this, the exhibition was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate PL Shah. People were overwhelmed on seeing the exhibition made by Prem Shukla of Delhi with his blood.
The first session was inaugurated by former Governor and Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, where the students of Shivdel School enthralled everyone with their skit based on the life of Lord Shri Ram. Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal said that the central government will play a supportive role in protecting the interests of the families of soldiers. Swami Sharad Puri, founder of Shivdel School, called his role in this event of soldiers' families fortunate.
The local MLA Adesh Chauhan started the freedom fighter honour procession which started from Jagdish Vats Park Jatwada Bridge with flag hoisting. The procession was taken out from Sarafa Bazar, Kathara Bazar, Railway Police Chowki, Railway Station Jwalapur, Sector 2 Barrier to the venue. Guests and freedom fighters were welcomed by the associates of Assam Freedom Fighters Association General Secretary Dwijendra Mohan Sharma and social worker Jagdish Lal Pahwa, Dhawal Dixit of Moradabad. The programme was conducted by Daishik Shastra scholar Suresh Chandra Suyal.
