The police was in action mode after the robbery incident in a jewellery showroom in the religious city of Haridwar about 2 weeks ago. In this case, an encounter took place between the police and the criminals in Bahadarabad police station area late at night. There was firing between the criminal and the police. Meanwhile, one criminal got shot, while the other managed to escape. The injured criminal was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
It is being told that jewelry worth Rs 50 lakh has also been recovered from the possession of the accused. The officer said that apart from this, a point 32 bore pistol, four cartridges and a numberless motorcycle have been recovered, which is known as Punjab. Two NDPS cases are registered against Satinder Pal Singh in Punjab, while the miscreant was also involved in an attempt to rob in Una, Himachal.

On receiving the information, SSP Praminder Singh Dobal and senior officers reached the spot. The SSP says that the absconding miscreant is being searched, who will be arrested soon. The forensic team is investigating the incident site.
