Abohar: The last rites of a young man who died of drug overdose about three days ago were performed by his mother who came out on bail from jail on Wednesday. Since the mother of the deceased was in judicial custody in a drug trafficking case, with the help of family members he was brought out on bail from jail and the last rites of the youth were performed.
According to the information, a 16-year-old teenager resident of Indira Nagar died due to overdose of white color. The young man's mother was in jail for selling white goods and he lived alone at home. Due to a fight with his father, he lived separately. When the young man died three days ago, there was no one to perform his last rites, on which the family members somehow got his mother's bail and the last rites of the young man were performed on Wednesday.
It is being told that the woman became so helpless that she started drug smuggling to fulfill her son's drug addiction. Police station in-charge Navpreet Singh said that he had already received information about the death of the youth, then he had taken action under Section 174 on the statement of the family members, because the youth was not with any family member. He told that the mother of the deceased is in jail in a criminal case and she has been brought on bail and the last rites of the deceased have been performed.
