Benefits of PM Housing Scheme: Everyone dreams of having a permanent house of their own. This dream of only a few people is fulfilled. Many people have to struggle for this. The Government of India helps those who are unable to build it. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Government of India provides financial assistance to needy people to build permanent houses.

In almost all the states of India, people are getting a lot of benefits from this government scheme, so far crores of people have built permanent houses under this scheme. Now the list of beneficiaries of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh has been released. This year the government will send them assistance amount.

2025 families will get 1.5 lakh

Through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, 3896 such families have been selected in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. Out of which, the government will now provide financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to 2025 families to build a permanent house. The government will send this amount in three installments. Rs 65000 will be given in the first installment. While Rs 52000 will be given in the second installment. In the third and last installment, Rs 33000 will be sent to the accounts of these people. Under MNREGA, laborers will be given an amount of Rs 15000.

A lot of people have benefited so far

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was started on 1 April 2016. Under this scheme, the government's goal was that all people should have a permanent house. This scheme was in two formats. The first Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was rural, while the second Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was urban. Under this scheme, the government gives financial assistance to poor people to convert kutcha houses into permanent houses. Under the scheme, there was a plan to provide permanent houses to all people by the year 2022.

But the government has extended this scheme till 2024. In this scheme, 60% of the share is given by the central government, while 40% contribution is given by the state government. According to government data, 1,18,63,073 houses have been approved so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Urban Scheme. Out of these, construction of 78,26,765 houses has been completed.

Who will get the benefit?

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, citizens who do not have a permanent house in any corner of the country. People living in slums in urban and rural areas, people from economically weaker sections. People from low income group, people from middle income group. People from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes, people from minority community, Divyang people, all of them are eligible for benefits under this scheme.
