Rainfall has stopped in Gujarat for the last few days, so people are assuming that the monsoon is about to leave. However, according to well-known meteorologist Paresh Goswami, the monsoon has not ended in Gujarat yet. There will be another round of rain in Gujarat in the last week of September.
According to Paresh Goswami, moderate to light rains occurred in different parts of the state and heavy rains in some parts in the first week of September. However, in the second week of September, an anticyclone hit Sindh province of Pakistan. Due to which the system formed in the Bay of Bengal could not reach Gujarat. Therefore, the intensity of rain has reduced since the second week of September.
After September 10, the temperature in Gujarat has increased to around 32 to 35 degrees. Such high temperature will remain till next 20 September. The system formed in the Bay of Bengal is still active and there is no anticyclone effect. Therefore, in the last week of September, another rain system will form in the Bay of Bengal, which will pass over Gujarat. Due to which another round of rain will start in Gujarat around September 24. Which will affect 60 to 70 percent of Gujarat. Meanwhile, 2 to 5 inches of rain may occur in some parts of North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, Saurashtra and South Gujarat.
The special thing is that the Bay of Bengal system coming towards Gujarat will be the last monsoon system of the current year. After which the departure of monsoon will start in the month of October. Therefore, from October 2 to October 18, the process of withdrawal of monsoon will be phased in all the districts of Gujarat.
