PM Narendra Modi Gujarat visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the country's first 'Vande Metro' train along with other Vande Bharat trains between Bhuj and Ahmedabad today. Along with this, the metro rail service will also be inaugurated in Gandhinagar.
Besides this, PM Modi will inaugurate the Global Renewable Energy Investment Meet and Expo 2024 in Gandhinagar and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad.
PM Modi will inaugurate the first phase of metro rail service by flagging off the metro train in Gandhinagar. In the second phase, Gandhinagar's GIFT City will be connected with the metro rail service. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, 30 MW solar system in Kutch, 35 MW base solar PV project and power substations in Morbi and Rajkot.
Let us tell you that Vande Bharat trains will be run on various routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras and Durga to Visakhapatnam. In the first phase, eight stations of Gandhinagar will be connected with metro rail service. This will include Secretariat, Akshardham, Jivraaj Mehta Bhawan, Sector 16, Sector 24 and Mahatma Mandir stations.
The second phase will connect Gujarat National Law University, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat Info Tech City, Raison Village, Infocity and Sector 1 between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The metro train will run directly from Motera in Ahmedabad to eight stations in Gandhinagar.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ahmedabad airport on Sunday evening, where he was given a warm welcome. In a post on Instagram, PM Modi wrote, “After memorable programs in Jharkhand, I reached Ahmedabad. I will participate in various programs in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad on September 16.”
