The land of Shri Goindwal Sahib is also called the 'pivot of education'. Here the third Patshah got the position of Guru and this city is his karmabhoomi.

Sikh Panth is celebrating the 450th birth anniversary of Guru Ram Das Ji and 450th birth anniversary of Guru Amar Das Ji. A large number of people from India and abroad are reaching the centenary celebrations in Sri Goindwal Sahib and surrounding areas. For the Sangat coming to pay homage to the Guru, langar has been served at various places and other exemplary arrangements have been made. Gurdwara Baoli Sahib and Gurdwara Chubara Sahib located in Sri Goindwal Sahib have been decorated with flowers and lights. Big congregations are being organized to connect the Sangat with Sikhism and Gurmat thoughts. Bhai Gurdas Ji has mentioned Sri Goindwal Sahib in the 46th verse of the first war as follows-

' settled down again

It is not an easy task to count the tireless service of Guru Amar Das, his personality, simple life, humility, philanthropy, gifts, Siddhak and religious works, his qualities are countless – 'You can be compared to me.'
