Kolkata Police has investigated after the blast. Police immediately stopped traffic on the road and sealed the spot. In this case, the police said that a garbage picker was injured in the blast.

According to the information received, today at 01:45 pm, Talatala Police Station received information about the explosion near Blochman St and SN Banerjee Road. On receiving the information, the police team immediately reached the spot and took the injured person to the hospital for treatment. The person's right wrist was injured. Initial investigation has revealed that a plastic bag was kept in which the explosion took place.

Police have sealed the blast site

The police have sealed the blast site and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team has been called for further investigation. The BDDS team examined the bag and the surrounding items present at the spot. After this, traffic could be restored on the road. After the blast, the police stopped the traffic on SN Road.

A man lived on the sidewalk

The person injured in the blast has been identified as Bapi Das, whose age is said to be 58 years. During interrogation, the person said that I have no work. I keep roaming around. Recently I started living on the footpath of SN Banerjee Road. The police have not yet recorded the statement of the injured person as the doctors have asked the patient to give some time. Bengal Police has called the forensic team to investigate the blast.
