Rahul's team misbehaves with journalist in America, Modi says 'The word constitution does not suit your mouth' | News India

New Delhi, September 14 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of Rahul Gandhi's team's alleged misbehavior with an Indian journalist in America at a political event on Saturday. He asked, “Are you increasing India's prestige by beating up an Indian journalist?” The Prime Minister said, “The word Constitution does not suit your mouth.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed an election rally in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. Here he said that those who talk about the Constitution are sitting in a shop of hatred with a board of love. Today he read in the newspaper how the fourth pillar of democracy was oppressed in America. That journalist put his story in front of everyone. Hindustan's son, the protector of the Constitution, the journalist was beaten up. Will this increase the country's prestige?

It is noteworthy that Rohit Sharma, a journalist associated with India Today, has presented details of the misbehavior he faced in Texas, USA. He told that before Rahul Gandhi came to America, he interviewed Sam Pitroda, the President of Indian Overseas Congress. At the end of the interview on 7 September, he asked whether Rahul Gandhi would raise the issue of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh after the departure of Sheikh Hasina government. After this, Rahul's supporters present there misbehaved with him during the interview.

The journalist wrote that during this time Sam Pitroda went to the airport to receive Rahul. After he left, the workers present there snatched his mobile phone. They deleted the video of the interview from it. They made him sit for 30 minutes. They accused him of saying that his question was controversial.

Rohit said, “Ironically, when Rahul Gandhi later spoke to members of the US press about how journalistic freedom has eroded under India’s current government, his team was busy silencing me. He has reiterated this point in every US visit, but it seems the importance he attaches to press freedom doesn’t extend to his own camp.”
