Fatehabad, September 14 (HS). A workshop was organized in the meeting hall of Thana Sadar Ratia on Saturday for police officers and employees engaged in election duty and security arrangements to conduct the assembly elections in a fair and peaceful manner. In this workshop, DSP Sanjay Bishnoi briefed the police employees and gave necessary guidelines. On this occasion, hundreds of police personnel including Thana Sadar Ratia in-charge Om Prakash, City Ratia in-charge Ranjeet Singh and the police team from Haryana Police Academy Madhuban were present.
Addressing the police personnel, DSP Sanjay Bishnoi said that conducting free and fair elections is the priority of the police administration, therefore the police officers and employees posted at polling booths and on duty should perform their duties impartially and appear impartial. Do not consume any kind of intoxicants during duty. All the policemen were instructed not to allow crowds to gather around the polling booths. No person should be allowed to carry mobile phones and other prohibited items inside the polling booth. Take action against those who disrupt the election process and those who violate the model code of conduct. Cooperate fully with the presiding officer, keep the numbers of sector-zonal and other senior officials with you. Sub-inspector Vinod Kumar, Haryana Police Academy Madhuban and his team said that the concerned police station in-charge and senior officer should be informed immediately by telephone regarding any information affecting the voting process. The police personnel posted on duty should behave cordially with the voters. There should be no indecency of any kind. Perform your duty with full seriousness during the elections so that smooth voting can be conducted.
