Hindu organizations have called for a 2-hour Himachal bandh on September 14. Hindu organization leader Kamal Gautam has appealed to all traders to keep their shops closed till 1.30 pm. Actually, Hindu organizations have called for a bandh in protest against the police lathicharge on protesters in Sanjauli, Shimla. Along with this, Hindu organizations have warned of protests at different places in different states.

Announcement of bandh on 14 September in Himachal Pradesh

In fact, Gautam, former state minister of Hindu Jagran Manch and the main face of the movement in Sanjauli, said that the police have misbehaved with the protesters in Sanjauli. The police lathicharged the protesters. In protest against this, a bandh has now been announced on September 14. Kamal Gautam appealed to the traders to protest by keeping their shops closed from 10 am to 1.30 pm on September 14. He said, “The businessmen need to tell the administration that if Hindus are mistreated in any way, then Hindus will not tolerate it.”

What happened on September 11?

Let us tell you that earlier on the morning of 11 September, a large number of protesters had gathered in Sanjauli and in view of the situation, the Shimla district administration had implemented Section 163. Under this, a complete ban was imposed on the gathering of more than five people. Despite this, a large number of protesters gathered in Sanjauli. After this, the protesters reached Sanjauli by breaking the barricading from Dhali Tunnel. Meanwhile, the police lathi-charged the protesters and sprayed water on them. In protest, the protesters pelted stones at the police personnel.
