Agricultural equipment was distributed among the farmers under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan Program by the Agricultural Science Center, Gram Nirman Mandal, Sarvodaya Ashram Sokhodewara, Nawada on Wednesday in Mahuliatand village of Mahudar Panchayat of Kauakol block in the district.
During this period, trowels, axes and small hoes were distributed among fifty farmers. To keep the goats healthy, medicines like mineral mixer, liver tonic, diarrhea medicine, multivitamin etc. were distributed free of cost to five cattle farmers and tips to keep the animals healthy were explained. Dr. Dhananjay Kumar, director of the program and subject matter expert of the Animal Science Department, said that the topics like cleanliness of animal sheds, timely use of deworming medicines, importance of vaccination, importance of diet and housing management etc. were discussed in detail.
