Katihar, September 14 (HS). National Lok Adalat was organized in Katihar on Saturday as per the instructions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Patna.
On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Additional Chief Justice Satyanarayan Lal Sahanji, District Officer cum Vice President, District Legal Services Authority and Chief Judicial Magistrate jointly inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
In the inaugural ceremony, District and Session Judge cum Chairman Hemant Kumar Tripathi urged the parties to settle as many cases as possible and gave detailed information about the benefits of settling cases in National Lok Adalat. He said that settling cases in Lok Adalat not only saves time and money, but it also leads to peaceful resolution of cases.
District Officer cum Vice President Manish Kumar Meena also motivated the common people about the benefits of National Lok Adalat and requested the common people coming to the court to get as many cases as possible resolved. He said that by getting cases resolved in Lok Adalat, cases are settled quickly and the parties get justice.
On this occasion all judicial officers, officers of various departments, employees and common citizens were present. By organizing the National Lok Adalat, a new opportunity has been provided for settlement of cases in Katihar district.
