Disaster affected people should be given compensation soon: Minister Tomar | News India

Bhopal, September 13 (HS). Energy Minister and Minister in charge of Shivpuri district Pradyuman Singh Tomar reviewed the disaster relief preparations in Shivpuri on Friday. During this, he took information about the damage caused in various areas of the district due to continuous rain last day and instructed that the survey should be done soon and the disaster affected people should be given compensation soon. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this.

Minister Tomar said that the team should be on alert mode now. No untoward incident should occur anywhere. People should not go to waterlogged places. He instructed the Chief Medical and Health Officer that mosquito-borne diseases can occur due to waterlogging. Therefore, health camps should be set up in the affected areas and people should be checked up. Medicine should be sprayed by CMO Nagar Palika in urban areas as well.

The minister in charge said that due to excessive rains, there is a problem of electricity in many villages. He instructed the officials of the electricity department to keep the electricity system running smoothly. He said that the street lights should be on at the main crossings of the city. The police team also visits, if they see a street light off or damaged anywhere on the main road, they should immediately inform the electricity department team about it.

Minister-in-charge Tomar has said that this type of disaster is natural and cannot be stopped, but the preparation for relief and rescue work in a disaster should be better. All concerned officers should work with caution. If the situation worsens anywhere, information should be given immediately, so that relief and rescue work can be done on time.
