Jaipur, September 13 (HS). On the last day of his three-day visit to Japan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Friday participated in the Investors Meet held in Osaka and urged Japanese investors to expand their existing businesses and set up new ventures in Rajasthan. The delegation led by the Chief Minister also held discussions with officials of two major Japanese companies Daikin and NIDEC Corporation. These companies already have ventures in the state's Neemrana Japanese Investment Zone.
Speaking about the business opportunities available in the state at the Osaka Investors Meet, Chief Minister Sharma thanked the Japanese investors for showing faith in Rajasthan. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that I urge the Japanese investor community to maintain their faith in Rajasthan and further strengthen the existing partnership between India and Japan. The successful operation of about 50 Japanese companies in the Neemrana Japanese Investment Region in Rajasthan is a testimony to the state's clear commitment to improve the ease of doing business and business environment. In the coming days, we are going to launch many new investor-friendly policies like MSME Policy, 'One District One Product' Policy, Data Center Policy, so that the state can emerge as a major attractive destination for investors and businesses.
During his Osaka visit, the delegation led by the Chief Minister also met senior officials of Daikin Industries, a major company located in Neemrana Japanese Investment Zone of Rajasthan. Daikin Industries has its head office in Osaka, where on this occasion the senior officials of the company informed the Chief Minister about themselves. Especially about the enterprise present in Rajasthan and the expansion plans of the company in the state were discussed. During this, the Chief Minister also visited the Technical Innovation Center of the company.
After the investors meet in Osaka, the delegation led by the Chief Minister met representatives of another Japanese company NIDEC Corporation and informed them about the important business-friendly changes being taken by the government in the state. The officials of NIDEC Corporation appreciated the impressive steps being taken by the state to improve the business environment and assured that Rajasthan is also included in the long-term plans of the company.
People from the Non-Resident Rajasthani Community (NRR) in Osaka also met the delegation. Addressing the community members, the Chief Minister expressed happiness about the role of the non-resident Rajasthani community in introducing technological innovations in Japan and requested them to play the role of a bridge between Japan and Rajasthan. Apart from this, urging them to share the learnings from Japanese culture with the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that non-resident Rajasthanis should also try to set up new businesses in their own land.

The delegation led by the Chief Minister who visited Japan included Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shikhar Aggarwal, Principal Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce Department Ajitabh Sharma, other senior officials of RIICO and BIP. The Osaka investors' roadshow was organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Osaka-Kobe, and Japan External Trade Organization. With this, the five-day South Korea-Japan leg of the Investors Meet and Outreach for 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment 2024 concluded today and the high-level delegation of Rajasthan government has now left for the state.
The 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024 will be held in the capital Jaipur from 9 to 11 December this year. It is being organized under the aegis of the Government of Rajasthan in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Commerce, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), whose nodal department is BIP.
