Jammu, September 13 (HS). Central University of Jammu started Swachhta Pakhwada 2024 with the enthusiastic launch of “Swachhta Abhiyan” at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Boys Hostel. This program, which will run from 1 to 15 September, is a national initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hostel Chief Warden Prof. Rakesh Kumar Jha, Hostel Warden Dr. Priyank Sharma and many enthusiastic students attended the inaugural ceremony.
Together they initiated a “Swachhta Abhiyan” and “Vriksharopan” drive in which around 20 trees were planted in the hostel premises. The collective effort highlighted a strong commitment towards maintaining a clean and green environment within the university.
As part of the cleanliness drive, all the participants took a pledge to uphold the principles of cleanliness and sustainability, ensuring that the hostel premises remain clean and eco-friendly throughout the year.
