Faridabad, September 13 (HS). Faridabad Police is fully alert regarding Haryana Assembly elections. In this connection, a flag march was taken out in the city on Friday under the leadership of Police Commissioner Om Prakash Narwal with heavy police and paramilitary forces. During this, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad Vikram Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Hemendra Kumar Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Commissioner of Police NIT Kuldeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ballabgarh Anil Kumar and Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Usha along with a large number of police force and paramilitary forces participated in the flag march.
The main objective of the flag march is to assure the general public to exercise their franchise freely, fairly and peacefully and to instill fear in criminals so that peace and order is maintained during the elections and the general public exercises their franchise fearlessly. This flag march convoy started from Police Commissioner Office Sector-21C and ended at Sector-21D, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Neelam Chowk, Bata Bridge, Hardware Chowk, Sohna T-Point, Ballabgarh Bridge, Ambedkar Chowk, Uncha Village Chungi, Chandavali Bridge Bypass Road, Sector-3 Bypass Road, Sector-8 Bypass Road, Sector-12. During the flag march, the security arrangements were reviewed by inspecting the polling stations and necessary guidelines were given to the concerned police station in-charge, along with this, the static surveillance team and flying squad team were also checked and necessary instructions were given to the staff to stop liquor smuggling, movement of illegal cash and other banned items/substances. Faridabad Police appeals to the general public to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and order during the elections.
