Hazaribagh, September 13 (HS). The weekly lecture series being organised in the postgraduate philosophy department since August 2 concluded on Friday. The last day's lecture was based on the life philosophy of Indian philosopher and social reformer Vinoba Bhave. Students, researchers and teachers actively participated in this lecture series.
During the closing ceremony, the three best students were awarded through teaching learning assessment, and all the participants were felicitated with certificates. The head of the department said in his address that Vinoba Bhave was a great thinker of Indian philosophy and a priest of humanity. His life was based on the principles of restraint, freedom and social upliftment. He gave the slogan of Jai Jagat, which is a message of world welfare.
On the occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Yamini Sahay said that Vinoba Bhave's thoughts are based on sacrifice, charity and penance. She emphasized the relevance of the thoughts of great men even in the modern era. Assistant Professor Vijay Kujur described the Bhudan movement as the beginning of Vinoba Bhave's path of Sarvodaya. Research scholars Amit Ranjan and Anil Ravidas also shared their views, where they emphasized the need to imbibe the thoughts of Vinoba Bhave.
