North Dinajpur, 06 March (Hindustan Reporter). The case of death of a police officer on duty due to heart attack has come to light on Wednesday. The name of the deceased is Sunil Kumar Dev (59). He was working as DIO in DIB office at Dalkhola police station. At the same time, he was a resident of Chanditala area under Karanjora outpost of Raiganj police station.
According to police sources, Sunil Kumar Dev suffered a heart attack while on duty at Dalkhola police station late on Tuesday night. Immediately, the police officer was recovered by his colleagues and taken to Dalkhola Primary Health Centre. From there the doctors referred him to Raiganj Medical College and Hospital. Where the doctors declared the police officer dead. On Wednesday, the body was sent to Raiganj Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police have registered a case of unusual death at Raiganj police station and started investigating the incident.
