Karpoori Thakur, VP Singh, Lohia and Ambedkar also did not promote nepotism: Prime Minister

Bettiah/New Delhi, 06 March (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attacked the opposition Indi alliance in Bettiah, Bihar, saying that the biggest issue of the Indi alliance full of corrupt people is not Modi's family. He said that if Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur had been there today, the staunch supporters of familyism would have asked him the same questions that they are asking me. Would have asked the same to VP Singh, Ram Manohar Lohia, BR Ambedkar. He also did not promote nepotism.

The Prime Minister was addressing the 'Developed India – Developed Bihar' program after gifting various projects worth Rs 12,800 crore in Bettiah, Bihar. Taking a dig at the opposition Indi alliance, the Prime Minister said that on one hand a new India is being built, while on the other hand RJD, Congress and their Indi alliance are still living in the world of the 20th century. The NDA government is saying that we want to make every house a solar house. The Indie Coalition is still relying on the lantern's flame. He said that as long as the lantern reigned in Bihar, only one family's poverty was eradicated and only one family became prosperous. The Prime Minister said, “Today when Modi tells this truth, they abuse Modi. The biggest issue of the Indi alliance full of corrupt people is that Modi does not have a family.” Modi said that these people say that their families should get a license to loot. Had Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur been alive today, he would have asked the same questions which are being asked to me. Today, staunch supporters of familism would have asked the same to VP Singh, Ram Manohar Lohia, BR Ambedkar. He also did not promote nepotism.

He said that there is a feeling of Mother Sita and Luvkush in Bettiah. The people of Bihar are seeing the way the people of Indi alliance are speaking against Ram and Ram temple. These are the family members who kept Ram Lalla in a tent for decades and tried their best to ensure that Ram temple is not built. Today India is respecting its heritage and its culture, but these people are facing problems in this too.

In an indirect attack on RJD President Lalu Prasad, the Prime Minister said that those who brought jungle raj in Bihar, worried about their families. He said, “A big challenge of Bihar in the decades after independence has been the migration of youth from here. When Jungle Raj came to Bihar, this migration increased further. The people who brought Jungle Raj only cared about their families. The future of lakhs of children of Bihar is at stake.” He said that the youth of Bihar kept going to other cities of other states for livelihood and here only one family continued to flourish. How were lands captured in exchange for one job each? Modi said that the family that brought Jungle Raj to Bihar is the biggest culprit of the youth here. The responsible family of Jungle Raj snatched away the fortunes of lakhs of youth of Bihar.

Prime Minister Modi said that NDA has saved Bihar from the culprits of jungle raj and snatching people's land in exchange for jobs. He said, “NDA's double engine government is trying to ensure that the youth of Bihar get employment right here in Bihar. This feeling is at the root of the projects worth thousands of crores of rupees that have been inaugurated and the foundation stone laid today.”

The Prime Minister said that under the double engine government, Bihar is fast moving on the path of regaining its old glory. He said that development of Bihar is equally important for developed India. After the installation of double engine of development in Bihar, the works related to developed Bihar have gained further momentum. Even today, Bihar has received the gift of schemes worth about Rs 13 thousand crores.
