Ranchi, September 12 (HS). Jharkhand High Court has rejected the state government's appeal against the single bench order in the case of outgoing councilor Roshni Khalkho regarding holding of municipal corporation and municipal body elections.
After hearing arguments from all parties on August 28, the court had reserved its decision. The matter was heard on Thursday in the High Court's Acting Chief Justice and Justice Arun Kumar Rai's division bench. While hearing Roshni Khalkho's petition, the single bench had directed the state government to hold elections soon, which has been upheld by the double bench.
