More than one thousand participants have registered for the Regional Industrial Conclave | News India

Sagar, September 12 (HS). A meeting of administrative officials with public representatives was held on Thursday regarding the Regional Industrial Conclave to be held on 27 September 2024 in Sagar. Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput, MP Lata Wankhede, MLAs Shailendra Jain, Virendra Singh Lodhi, Nirmala Sapre, Mayor Sangeeta Tiwari, Gaurav Sirothia, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Virendra Singh Rawat, IG Pramod Verma, DIG Sunil Jain, Collector Sandeep GR, SP Vikas Shahwal, MPIDC ED Vishal Singh Chauhan, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rajkumar Khatri, ADM Rupesh Upadhyay, GMDIC Mandakini Pandey and officials of Industry and MPIDC Department were present in the meeting.

Minister Rajput said that so far more than 1000 registrations have been done for this conclave to be held on 27 September at PTC Ground and the number of registrations is likely to exceed 3000 in the next few days. He said that through the conclave, investment will be received for various industries like petrochemical, plastic products, agriculture, food processing, dairy products, MSME, ODOP (One District One Product) in Sagar division. Along with this, regional products are also being promoted. He said that these regional industrial conclaves being organized as per the wishes of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav are aimed at promoting industrial development in Madhya Pradesh and increasing employment opportunities.

MP Lata Wankhede said that it is the good fortune of our region that such a big event is going to be organized here. Through which not only industrialization will be promoted in the region, but along with economic development, employment will also be created here. Sagar MLA Shailendra Jain said that the Regional Industrial Conclave being organized under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is a revolutionary experiment. After Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, now in this conclave being organized in Sagar, it is not that a handful of industrialists will come here and set up industries. Rather, there are efforts to start small start-ups of Bundelkhand region, set up food processing units under One District One Product, such as Amla of Panna, Chana of Damoh, Tomato of Sagar, Groundnut etc., to do the right branding, marketing of regional quality producers and to get them recognition at regional, national and international level. He said that a booklet is also being made in this regard in which all such products related to our region will be included which have development possibilities. This information will also be delivered to the concerned industrialists through booklets and pen drives. In fact, such industries will be set up here where people can get employment through investment.

MLA Virendra Singh Lodhi said that through the Regional Industrial Conclave, the Black Stone of Banda region, which is also known as black gold, other minerals and the tourism sector here will also get a boost. MLA Nirmala Sapre said that industrial units can also be set up for various by-products under the Bina Refinery Petrochemical Hub. Through which local people will get employment and the waste and by-products can also be used properly. Mayor Sangeeta Tiwari said that it is a matter of pride for our region that through the Regional Industrial Conclave, new doors of investment will open here and there will be economic development of the region as well as the state.

In the meeting, MPIDC Executive Director Vishal Chauhan informed all the public representatives present about the preparations and action plan of the Regional Industrial Conclave (RIC) through a presentation. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has declared the year 2025 as the “Industry Year” to promote industrial development. Under this initiative, Madhya Pradesh's biennial main event “Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investor Summit 2025” will be organized in Bhopal in February 2025.
