Mosque is built on government land: Anirudh Singh
Regarding the Sanjauli Mosque dispute, Himachal Pradesh Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said that the mosque was built on government land and the matter is pending in the court for the last 14 years. Regarding this dispute, the state Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the law will do its work.
No laxity will be shown in action against encroachment
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that no laxity will be shown in taking action against any encroachment. No one is above the law and any action will be within the ambit of the law, whether it is taken by the municipality or the police.

Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that this is an illegal mosque, which is built on government land. The matter has come to light after a little dispute in the village. The accused had come to take shelter in this mosque. More than 300 people have started coming, no one is identified. This is a matter of concern. In 2010, a case was also registered in Shimla Corporation regarding this.
There was lathicharge yesterday over the Sanjauli mosque dispute
Yesterday, i.e. on Wednesday, the protest against Sanjauli Mosque in Shimla turned violent. Police lathicharged the people marching towards the mosque. This angered the people. There was also a clash with the police. A policeman has been injured. Heavy police arrangements were made in the area. Hindu organizations were protesting in Shimla demanding the demolition of Sanjauli Mosque, calling it illegal. When they started moving towards the mosque, the police lathicharged and sprayed water to stop them. Regarding this matter, the Shimla Vyapar Sangh has called for a bandh on Thursday.
