Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said on Wednesday that General Manager of Northern Railway Shobhan Chaudhary reviewed the work-progress of Northern Railway with the major departmental heads and divisional railway managers of Northern Railway at Baroda House today. In the review meeting, the focus was on increasing the safety protocol and ensuring the safety standards of both employees and passengers.
During the meeting, Shri Choudhury emphasised on Northern Railway's firm commitment towards safety and underlined the importance of improving safety measures and their continuous review. The officers present in the meeting emphasised on promoting the culture of existing safety procedures, potential risks and safety awareness.
The General Manager conducted a comprehensive review to assess the progress of Amrit stations and redevelopment work of stations under Amrit Bharat Yojana to increase passenger convenience and modernize railway infrastructure. He directed the officials to monitor the progress of redevelopment work of stations and complete the work on time.
The General Manager emphasized the importance of timely execution and quality to ensure successful construction of projects within the stipulated time frame. He directed the departmental heads and divisional railway managers to maintain punctuality and increase the speed of freight loading while giving priority to safety.
