Three habitual accused who encroached upon government land and did farming, sentenced to three months jail | News India

Jaisalmer, September 11 (HS). Tehsildar Ramgarh has sentenced three habitual accused who were farming by encroaching on government land to three months of imprisonment. Along with this, arrest warrants were issued against all three.

Ramgarh Tehsildar Mahavir Prasad said that Jaiphal Khan, resident of Tibansar village, Heer Singh and Babu Singh, resident of Sonu village were sentenced to three months of simple imprisonment. Along with this, the police station officer Ramgarh was also ordered to arrest and present the three encroachers by 12th September.

Tehsildar Mahavir Prasad said that action has been taken under Section 91 (2) of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act 1956 in compliance with the instructions given by the District Collector in the meeting of revenue officials. Under this, illegal encroachers in Tibansar and Sonu villages have also been sentenced. Along with this, arrest warrants have been issued and the Ramgarh police station in-charge has been ordered to arrest these three by September 12.

In fact, the then Tehsildar had taken action against the encroachment in the Agore of the Model pond of Tibansar village and freed the Agore land from encroachment. But habitual encroacher Jaiphal Khan encroached the same land by putting stone slabs and cultivating it. On the basis of the complaint of the villagers and the report of the Halka Patwari, action was taken against the encroachment under Section 91 and in the decision, the encroacher was sentenced to three months of simple imprisonment and the encroached land was freed from possession.

Similarly, taking action against the encroachment on government land in Sonu village, on the basis of complaint of Dalpat Singh and Patwari report, both the habitual encroachers, Heer Singh and Babu Singh, residents of Sonu village, were given three months simple imprisonment and orders for eviction from the encroached land.
