Ranchi, September 11 (HS). A meeting of the district level tender committee was held in the Collectorate on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha regarding the selection of sand ghat agency. All the members present in the meeting informed the DC that the EMD amount of those sand ghats whose agreement could not be done has been seized. Along with this, a request has been made to publish the tender for the selection of Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) MDO again for category-II sand ghats by attaching the list of de-empanelled agencies.
A total of 19 sand ghats have been identified in Ranchi district. In this, after the financial bid of 18 sand ghats in December 2023, the MDO was selected and the information was made available to Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation Limited. At the same time, the bid was cancelled due to there being only one bidder for one sand ghat. After considering all the members in the meeting, the DC has decided to execute the process of financial tender at the district level for the appointment of MDO for the operation of sand ghats in the light of the letter of the Managing Director Jharkhand State Mineral Development Limited.
District Mining Officer Ranchi Abu Hussain, Executive Engineer Minor Irrigation Department Ranchi, Executive Engineer Road Construction Department Ranchi were present in the meeting.
