Bhopal, September 11 (HS). Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a courtesy visit to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at his office in North Block, New Delhi during his stay in New Delhi on Wednesday. During this, he discussed various topics related to the cooperative sector of the state with Union Minister Shah.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is progressing in the field of cooperation. He informed that yesterday the state government has agreed to manage and operate milk unions through the National Dairy Development Board for the next five years. The Chief Minister said that this agreement will increase the income of animal husbandry and milk-producing farmers of about 11 thousand villages. To strengthen the field of cooperation through the government, multipurpose cooperative institutions will be formed in these 11 thousand villages.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised this innovative decision of the state government and suggested working in this direction in the entire state. He also assured all possible assistance from the central government in the efforts being made in the cooperative sector.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed hope that this decision will benefit the milk-producing farmers of the state as well as food processing and agro-based industries. Farmers will have full participation not only in raw material but also in their products for agro-based industries. He also informed Union Minister Shah about the Regional Industry Conclave being organized at the divisional level to promote employment and industry in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also thanked the Central Government for its decision to procure soybean crop at the minimum support price.
