Fatehabad, September 10 (HS). Tohana police has caught a Bolero camper vehicle loaded with animals during a blockade. Police recovered 4 buffaloes and 3 calves from the vehicle and arrested the driver. According to the information received, the team of Chandigarh Road Police Station under Tohana City Police Station was on patrol on Tuesday under the leadership of ASI Ramniwas, when they received information that a Bolero camper vehicle coming from Moonak in Punjab is cruelly filled with animals and is coming towards Tohana.
On this information, the police team blocked the Chandigarh Road and started checking the vehicles. After some time, a Bolero camper coming from Moonak was stopped and questioned. The driver told his name as Pintu son of Jaiprakash, resident of village Darbarkhurd, district Shamli, UP. When the police checked the vehicle, it was filled with buffaloes and calves and the animals were climbing on top of each other. When the police unloaded them and counted them, 4 buffaloes and 3 big calves were found in the vehicle. On this, the police arrested the driver and registered a case against him under the Animal Cruelty Act.
