Most of the cases that came up were related to land. Apart from molestation and dowry system, cases of harassment also came up.

Zila Parishad Chairman Joyce Besra raised the issue of a woman being beaten up by her in-laws in Jamshedpur district. The woman from Jamshedpur had pleaded for help from the Zilla Parishad Chairman. SP Mr. Kherwar contacted Jamshedpur Police and extended assistance in getting justice to the woman. Many such cases came to light in which the police took action and settled them. A total of 246 cases came to light in Dumka district, for the settlement of which the concerned police station was directed.
