Ranchi, 16 February (HS). On the instructions of Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar, as per the pre-determined program, in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a two-day training program of help desk managers from all the districts was organized on 15 and 16 February.
In the training workshop organized in the auditorium of the headquarters, 102 help desk managers from different districts were given detailed training on many technical points including SVEEP action plan for Lok Sabha elections 2024, public grievance redressal portal NGSP-2 and 1950 voter helpline. Also, help desk managers were given practical training on how they can further improve their role in promptly handling citizen complaints received on the 1950 Voter Help Line.
Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar told the managers that since they are serving as front line workers where they interact directly with the citizens. Therefore their role is very important. He said that the suggestions and complaints received by the helpline center from the voters of the state should also be digitized so that the correct feedback reaches the headquarters level.
During the training, various IT applications related to elections like C-VIGIL, KYC, Suvidha App/Portal Enabled App etc. were also explained. Besides, in view of the Lok Sabha elections, training was also given on how to use social media to connect with as many people as possible in the sweep programs. Apart from this, how to deal with the possibility of any kind of unexpected fake news in the future was also explained in detail.
In the workshop, Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar, Joint Secretary Subodh Kumar, Under Secretary Devdas Dutta, Deputy Electoral Officer Headquarters Sanjay Kumar, System Analyst SN Jamil gave training to all the help desk managers on various subjects.
On this occasion, apart from the help desk managers who came from different districts, all the officials and personnel of the Chief Electoral Officer's office were present.
