LML School Girls Team: LML School Girls Hockey Team registered a splendid victory in the 30th Nehru Cup Under 17 District Level Tournament by defeating Jap School 5-0 in the final match. Now the team will advance to the state level tournament of Under 17-30th Nehru Cup.
Top scorer and standout player Riva Shah led the team with her exceptional skills with 4 goals in the final. Forwards Jhansi Patel, Tanvi and Dhanvi made significant contributions to the victory, while goalkeeper Elisa Shibu and defender Felicia Patel provided strong defense.
Congratulating the team, Principal Ranjan Mandan said, “I am proud of our hockey players for their exceptional performance in the Nehru Cup, where they secured first place at the district level. This victory is a reflection of their hard work and commitment as well as the excellent guidance of our coaches, who have played a vital role in their success.
Riva Shah said, “It was a great team performance. We supported each other well and worked hard during the tournament. I am very happy with this result and proud of what we have achieved together. I am grateful to the school and my parents for their support.”
Expressing pride in the team's performance, coach Amrita Datania said, “The hard work and commitment of the girls was evident in their performance. They showed true teamwork and strong confidence and I am very proud of their achievement.”
The win is a symbol of the talent and dedication that has come out of the LML girls hockey program, marking a significant achievement in district level play.
