New Delhi, September 09 (HS). India and Japan have agreed to continue discussions to promote financial cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations. The Finance Ministry gave this information in a statement issued on Monday.
The Finance Ministry said that India-Japan have agreed to continue discussions to further promote financial cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations. This agreement between the two countries was reached during the second India-Japan Finance Dialogue held in Tokyo on September 6, 2024.
The ministry said that the Indian delegation was led by Economic Affairs Secretary Ajay Seth, while the Japanese side was led by Japan's Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs Atsushi Mimura. The Japanese delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency.
The Finance Ministry said that in the 'Second India-Japan Finance Dialogue' held in Tokyo, Japan, both the countries discussed the strengthening of financial relations. During this, both the countries shared their views on each other's macro-economic situation.
In this meeting, India and Japan discussed cooperation in other countries, bilateral cooperation and international issues. In the meeting, the participants shared views on financial sector issues including regulation and monitoring, financial digitalization and other policy initiatives in both the countries.
