Aizawl, 09 September (HS). Security forces have seized a large number of live cartridges in Mizoram. According to information received from sources, BSF and Mizo police have seized a large quantity of live cartridges from Aizawl on the basis of an intelligence input.
A BSF source said today that a total of 496 live bullets of AK series were seized during the operation conducted yesterday. Two people have been arrested along with the bullets. However, the identities of both have not been revealed.
The motive of the firing is still unknown. The BSF has handed over both of them to Mizoram Police for further interrogation. The police is interrogating both the arrested persons.
