Palamu, September 9 (HS). MP VD Ram reviewed the schemes being run in the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) meeting held in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday. The MP expressed displeasure over the slow progress of some schemes and also questioned the concerned officer. The decisions taken in the previous meeting and their compliance were also discussed.
MNREGA and other schemes were reviewed in the meeting. In the meeting, the public representatives informed the chairman about the shortcomings in the works being done by various departments in the district. On this, the chairman directed to complete the target based works on time. Taking information about the target of PM Awas under the financial year 2024-25, the MP talked about providing housing to all eligible beneficiaries. He also said that there are more than 800 such beneficiaries in Sataua Panchayat of Patan who are eligible for housing but they have not been provided housing till date. A case of negligence of the concerned computer operator has come to light.
The Deputy Commissioner said that action will be taken against the concerned operator and the Panchayat Secretary. One such case was raised by Panki MLA Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, it was related to the salary of Tarhasi. After this, the DC directed the DDC to seek a report from the entire district, in which it should be clearly mentioned that how many villages are there where not even a single house has been built under the housing scheme. The MP emphasized on ensuring mandatory labor engagement of 100 days under MNREGA.
The MP discussed shifting the bus stand from Chhahmuhan to Bairia. He said that the bus stand should be kept away from the city so that the city dwellers can get relief from the inevitable traffic jams. The DC asked Municipal Commissioner Javed Hussain to remove all the obstacles coming in the way of shifting the bus stand to Bairia and shift the bus stand to Bairia.
Panki MLA raised the issue of non-regular water supply in the water supply scheme in Nilambar-Pitambarpur and Panki area. Daltonganj MLA also spoke about non-supply of water in Nawadih of Ramgarh. In the review of the Agriculture Department, it was said that black marketing of fertilizers should be completely curbed. The MP also inquired about the Soil Testing Center. Under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana under JSLPS, emphasis was laid on promoting non-agricultural based livelihood.
The Labour Superintendent was asked to register all the workers of the district on the Shramdhan portal and publicise it. The MP also highlighted the problem of cutting parking space at MMCH. On this, the DC urged the Medininagar Municipal Commissioner to relax the parking rules and ensure that the public does not face any problem in parking.
Chatra MP Kalicharan Singh, Panki MLA Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, Daltonganj MLA Alok Chaurasia, Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, Superintendent of Police Rishma Rameshan, Forest Division Officer, Deputy Development Commissioner Shabbir Ahmed, Additional District Magistrate, all block heads, representatives of all MLAs and other district level officials were present in the meeting.
