Negligence: Expired injection found in emergency room of Patahi Health Center | News India

East Champaran, 09 September (HS). A big negligence has been seen at the Patahi Community Health Center of the district. The Community Health Center is using medicines whose expiry date has passed. It is noteworthy that expired injections were found kept in the tool box of the emergency room of the Patahi Health Center. The name of the expired injection is Cefotaxime injection.

If such a big negligence is seen in the tool box of the emergency room, then what will happen in other places because in emergency there is no time to check much. If this injection is given to a patient and if something happens to him, then who will take responsibility for it? Even after knowing about the playing with the health of the patients, the higher officials are not taking any action.

In this regard, when the block health manager Raj Kumar was talked to, he said that it is very wrong to find expired medicines in the tool box of the emergency room. Action will be taken against those on duty after investigation. Also, Dr Shankar Baitha, medical officer in charge of Patahi Community Health Centre, said in this matter that the charge of the emergency room is with Nibha Kumari. If expired medicines are found in the tool kit, action will be taken after investigation because it is a big negligence which is not forgivable.
