We want good relations but…: Mohammad Yunus again showed his anger towards India | News India

Muhammad Yunus on India Bangladesh relations: The situation in Bangladesh is not improving after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, but the chief advisor of the interim government is showing strictness. Mohammad Yunus said on Sunday that his country wants good relations with India but this relationship should be based on equality and fairness. Mohammad Yunus made this comment during a meeting with students who participated in the movement last month which forced Sheikh Hasina to resign.

Mohammad Yunus is constantly trying to bring a tough stand in his speeches. In a recent statement, he said that India should abandon the idea that Sheikh Hasina alone can bring peace and stability to Bangladesh. Special Assistant to the Chief Advocate Mahfuz Alam quoted Mohammad Yunus as saying, 'We need to have good relations with India but this relationship should be based on equality and fairness.'

After coming out of the meeting, Mahfuz said, the Chief Advisor has said that Bangladesh has always given importance to equality and internal respect in maintaining relations with its neighbors. During this, he emphasized on launching the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SARS) for the second time.

Muhammad Yunus is a supporter of America

The struggle that started against the quota system in Bangladesh turned violent in its final stage. After anti-government protests, Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign on August 5 and she left the country and went to India. A few days after Sheikh Hasina's resignation, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh under the chairmanship of Mohammad Yunus. Mohammad Yunus is considered America's favorite leader. Sheikh Hasina has also claimed that the US had conspired to remove her from the post. Apart from this, many other reports have claimed that US officials fueled the movement in Bangladesh.

What did Tauheed Hussain say on Rajnath Singh's statement?

Last week too, Mohammad Yunus had advocated good relations with India, but during this time he said that India should give up the idea that only Sheikh Hasina can bring peace and stability to Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauhid Hussain has expressed surprise at a statement by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. He stressed that he does not see any immediate threat of conflict between the two neighbors. Rajnath Singh on Thursday ordered an analysis of the Ukraine-Gaza conflict as well as the current situation in Bangladesh to anticipate any future problems.
