In a post on social media site X, the Army's Jammu-based White Knight Corps said it launched an anti-infiltration operation in Lam on the night of September 8 based on information received from intelligence agencies and police about a possible infiltration attempt. Two terrorists were killed and a large quantity of arms, including two AK-47s and a pistol, were recovered.
Along with this, the search operation is going on. Officials said that after the encounter, the army personnel increased vigilance in the area and kept a strict vigil throughout the night and the search operation was started in the morning. He said that the search operation was going on till the last report was received.
