Samrala : The local police have registered a case against a travel agent for cheating people of Rs 38 lakh 22 thousand on the pretext of sending them to America. The said travel agent has been identified as Jagjian Singh, resident of village Gaggarwal, Tehsil Khamanon.
Police station chief Inspector Devinderpal Singh said that this case has been registered by ASI Devinder Singh on the complaint of complainant Bhupinder Singh Dhillon son of Maghar Singh resident of village Shamgarh Samrala. The plaintiff said that he, his wife Jaspreet Kaur, daughter Talveen Kaur and his son Abhijot Singh Dhillon wanted to go to America and during this time they were introduced to Jagjian Singh Travel Agent Gaggarwal, who promised to send them to America and took 38 lakh 22 thousand rupees from them, but instead of sending them to America, he kept roaming them in other countries and did not send them to America.
In this way, he has defrauded his family of Rs 38 lakh, 22 thousand. Thanedaar Davinder Singh said that the police have registered a case and the accused will be arrested soon.
