Bomb threat to Tarsikka police station, FIR lodged | News India

Amritsar: After the blast outside the Police Intelligence Office in Mohali about two years ago, the police department once again lost its sleep on Sunday evening. The accused lodged in jail has threatened to blow up the Tarsikka Police Station in Amritsar (rural) with a bomb. The accused gave this dangerous threat to the police control room.

As soon as the information was received at the control room, many senior officials including SSP (rural) Charanjit Singh Sohal, DIG Satinder Singh were informed first. Along with this, an alert has also been issued to the Tarsikka police station. Police force was sent from the nearby police stations Jandiala Guru and Chatiwind. Unnecessary vehicles parked outside the police station were immediately removed.

Not only this, police presence was also increased outside the Tarsikka police station. SSP Charanjit Singh has confirmed the incident. He said that when the call was investigated, it was found that the caller was in jail. Information has also been shared with the jail administration in this regard. After registering an FIR, the accused will soon be arrested from jail on a production warrant and questioned.
