Bathinda: A case of kidnapping and assault of a person has come to light in village Bangi Nihal Singh Wala of the district. The accused tied the deceased person with a rope in the house and beat him brutally with sticks, due to which he died.
Investigation conducted by the police revealed that the deceased person had an illicit relationship with a married woman of village Bangi Nihal Singh Wala. The woman's husband came to know about this and he, along with his family members, killed the said person.
In this case, on the complaint of the deceased person's sister, the police of Thana Ram has started further action by registering a case against 11 members of the same family under various sections including murder. In this case, the police have arrested some accused, while the police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused.
Police say that all the accused will be arrested soon. While giving a complaint to the Rama police station, Soma Kaur, a resident of village Bangi Nihal Singh Wala, said that she is a daily wage laborer. The deceased Hariduara Singh is her younger brother, who left his wife and lives with his two daughters in village Bangi Nihal Singh Wala on Sukhali Road.
On the night of 7th September, his brother Haridwar Singh returned home at around 8 pm and after having dinner at around 10:30-11 pm, he said that he was going to Sukhladhi village and left the house on his motorcycle. He had just left the house when after some time he heard someone shouting from outside. When he went outside, some people were beating his brother. When he shouted to save his brother, the accused made his brother sit on the motorcycle and also took his brother's motorcycle with them.
According to the victim, the accused had sticks and rods in their hands apart from two motorcycles. When he shouted to save his brother, there was no one around as it was midnight, so he could not get any help. At around 6 am on Sunday, he got information that the accused Sardara Singh alias Dara Singh, his brother Kuldeep Singh, Balkaran Singh, Shingara Singh, his father Sohan Singh, Harbans Singh, Tarlok Singh, Gobind Singh, Parveet Kaur alias Preet and Manpreet Kaur kidnapped his brother and took him to their house, tied him with a rope and beat him badly with sticks, due to which his brother Haridwar Singh died. According to the victim, her deceased brother Haridwar Singh had an illicit relationship with the wife of accused Sardara Singh, Parveet Kaur alias Preet, which was known to the accused Sardara Singh alias Dara Singh. Due to which a dispute broke out between her brother and accused Sardara Singh alias Dara Singh.
They have quarreled two-three times over this issue. Due to this grudge, the accused together killed his brother. After getting information about the case, DSP Talwandi Sabo Ishan Singla took the body into custody and sent it to Civil Hospital Talwandi Sabo for post-mortem.
DSP Ishan Singla said that on the complaint of the deceased person's sister, a case has been registered against a total of 11 people including accused Sardara Singh alias Dara Singh, his wife Parveet Kaur alias Preet under various sections including murder. Some of the accused have been arrested, while police teams are conducting raids to arrest some others. All the accused will be arrested and produced in court.
