IND vs BAN: The BCCI announced the Indian team for the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday, September 8. The two teams will face each other in the two-match Test series starting on September 19.
The first Test will be played from September 19 to September 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Rohit Sharma will lead a 16-member squad which also includes Yash Dayal who has been included in his first Test squad.
Dayal took four wickets for India B against India A in the first round match of the Duleep Trophy 2024.
Star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has returned to Test cricket for the first time since December 2022. He performed brilliantly in the first round of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024.
Virat Kohli has also been included in the team and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also returned to the team after a break. Bumrah has been out since India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title in June.
