Jammu, September 8 (HS). Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized an online storytelling seminar in memory of late Chaman Arora. On this occasion, three of his famous short stories 'Skin Head', 'Ik Hor Ashwatthama' and 'Silsila' were presented by eminent writers Promila Manhas, Rajeshwar Singh 'Raju' and Sushil Begana.

While presiding over the Kahani Goshthi, President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, Prof. Lalit Magotra said that his close friend Chaman Arora was a very good short story writer and a simple natured person. He used his own craft in weaving stories and each of his stories has been an example of his excellent craftsmanship and command over language. The themes of his stories are different and he is not limited to any particular area, but his scope is wide.

He recalled that it was an honour for the mother tongue Dogri when eminent writer and journalist Khushwant Singh included Chaman Arora's short story 'Silsila' in his collection of selected short stories written in various Indian languages. Paying tribute to the late storyteller, he said that the institution will always remember Dogri litterateurs through their literary contributions. The online kavi goshthi was conducted by Pawan Verma.
