MP: Martyr Pradeep Patel of Katni cremated with state honors in his native village | News India

Khajuraho/Katni, 07 September (HS). The tricolour-draped mortal remains of Army Jawan Pradeep Patel, a resident of Vijayraghavgarh tehsil of Katni district in Madhya Pradesh, who was martyred in Pakyong of Sikkim, reached his native village on Saturday evening in a special Army vehicle, where thousands of people were present to have the last glimpse and bid farewell. Martyr Pradeep Patel was cremated with State honours in his native village Hardua. The cousin lit the funeral pyre of the martyred Jawan. Thousands of people gave him a tearful farewell.

24-year-old Pradeep Patel, son of Vaisakhu Patel, was posted as a driver in the Indian Army. On Thursday, an army vehicle fell into a ditch. Four soldiers were killed in this. Pradeep Patel was also among them. He was a resident of Hardua Kala of Vijayraghavgarh in Katni district. Pradeep joined the Indian Army in the year 2020. He was the only son of the family. He was not even married yet. He has two elder sisters, both of whom are married. Father is a farmer. Pradeep came to the village on leave a month ago. He joined duty on 12 August.

On Saturday, the mortal remains of martyr soldier Pradeep Patel were first brought to Khajuraho airport. Here Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid tribute. He announced to give one crore rupees to the martyr's family. Martyr Patel was given a final farewell by giving him a guard of honor at Khajuraho airport.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the country will always be indebted to Pradeep Patel for his unique contribution and dedication in the service of the nation. He said that the state government will provide a sum of Rs. 1 crore to the parents of martyr Patel.

He said that in Sanatan culture, there is no better fortune than dedicating one's body for the national interest. In the cycle of birth and death, those who die for the country are viewed with special respect. In this time of distress, the state government is standing with the martyr's family who is going through a state of pain and shock. He told that Patel Patel, the brave son of Madhya Pradesh, fell into a 700 meter deep ditch along with his army colleagues. Unfortunately, all of them died in the accident. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also paid tribute to all his colleagues who died in the accident. On this occasion, Minister of State for Environment and Forest Dilip Ahirwar, MLA Lalita Yadav and Kamakhya Pratap Singh, along with public representatives and officials also paid tribute.

After this, the mortal remains of martyr Pradeep Patel were brought from Khajuraho Airport to his native village Hardua Kala by road. A guard of honour was given at the school here. BJP state president and MP VD Sharma, in-charge minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh, minister Lakhan Patel, MLA Sanjay Pathak and hundreds of people paid tribute to the martyred soldier.

When the body was brought to his native village, thousands of people walked along with the martyr's vehicle and took him to his home, where people paid tribute to him. After this, the army band played the mourning tune and the soldiers gave the God of Honor. He was cremated with state honors. During this, people chanted Bharat Mata ki Jai.
