A day before the start of Ganesh Utsav, a 70 feet tall statue of Lord Ganesha was unveiled in Khairatabad area of Hyderabad city of Telangana on Friday. According to Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee, the idol has been prepared for a special occasion… Ganesh Utsav Committee members said, this year's idol is made of clay and prepared by a team of skilled artisans… The organisers have made all the necessary arrangements. The 10-day festival is being planned for the convenience of the participants. Ganesh Utsav is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha. At the end of the 10-day festival, devotees offer water to the idols of Lord Ganesha.

Devotees who arrived in large numbers for the Bhasma Aarti took the blessings of Baba Mahakal in the form of Lord Ganesha.
