Dehradun, 05 March (HS). Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat has said that he wants to come out of the politics of contesting elections and this is the opportunity to come out of the politics of contesting elections.

Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said while talking to journalists that if he contested elections, he would remain stuck in the politics of contesting elections for the next 10 years. Harish Rawat has lobbied for a ticket for his son Virendra Rawat from Haridwar. Son is the state vice president in Congress.

He said that if the party is able to use my connections, my name, my work, then my son will be able to do it in a better way.

Harish Rawat said that Virendra Rawat had made preparations for the assembly from Khanpur, the benefit of which was given to another person. The acceptance of the party and colleagues will also be taken care of.
